From your first assembly
to a reviewed report.

Start by creating an account at psid dot app. This walkthrough uses a fictional demonstration account. In Settings, check your name as printed, your typed signature, test category and testing method. These details appear on your reports.

Add your certification number and validity dates. Then add your gauge make, model, serial and calibration dates. Select the gauge you carry as your default. Validity is checked against the date of the test.

From the New menu, choose Customer. Enter the customer name and type. Save and add site carries that customer straight into the next step, so you do not need to find the record again.

Enter the service address and select the utility. For Greenville Water, record both the utility account number and meter number. Check these identifiers carefully: they are how the report is matched to the property.

Choose the assembly type, then enter the make, model, size, serial and location. This example is an R P assembly. Save and start test opens the readings screen. You can find detailed steps in the getting started guide.

On the readings screen, check the test date, tester and gauge. Enter the values you measured and the condition of each valve. The result updates as you type. These sample readings demonstrate a failure; they are not testing instructions.

If the initial test fails, record the repair. Choose the affected component and action, then enter any parts used. Start retest keeps the original readings and opens a separate final stage.

The initial readings remain visible and locked beside the final readings. Enter the new measurements and conditions. A passing retest produces pass after repair, preserving the history of what happened during this visit.

Review the visit and the typed signature, then make the attestation and complete the test. This saves the completed record. It does not submit anything to the utility. The assembly history keeps both the failure and the repair.

The completed test shows the result and a preview of the utility form. Review the customer, account, meter, assembly, readings and tester details. Download the P D F to inspect the complete document before submitting it.

Review filing creates a frozen record of the report details. Later changes to a customer or tester do not rewrite this P D F. Psid fills Greenville Water’s form, but you submit the report through the utility’s current process.

After submitting outside Psid, record the confirmation number, or explain why none was provided. This is a simulated submission in sample data. Filed, utility pending means a submission was recorded. It does not mean the utility accepted the report.
