How Psid works, one screen at a time
Every page here is a common operation, with the real screens beside the steps — on a desktop and on a phone, because most of these happen at a truck door. Where Psid does not do something, the page says so in the same plain words.

Step 1
Add a customer
A customer is who you bill. Their service addresses are sites, and the assemblies live on the sites — so this is the first of three saves, and each one offers the next.
Step 2
Add a service site
A site is one service address: the utility that governs it, the account and meter numbers that print on the form, and how you get in.
Step 3
Add an assembly
Every assembly you test is a device on a site. There are seven places in the app that will take you to this form, because not finding it was the complaint that started this.
Step 4
Run a test
From the device to a completed record is one screen of readings, one screen of remarks, and the verdict shown as you type rather than after you submit.
Step 5
A test that fails
A failed reading is not a dead end and not an overwrite. You record what you repaired, retest, and the record keeps both sets of readings side by side.
Step 6
Complete the test and get the form
Completing a test freezes it and produces Greenville Water’s own report as a PDF. Producing the PDF is not filing it.
Step 7
File with Greenville Water
Psid produces the filled form and a packet of values you can paste into the portal. You do the uploading — Psid sends nothing, to anyone, ever.

Record the confirmation
The last step is you telling Psid what the portal told you. Until then the filing is a frozen form and nothing more.

A completed test lands in “No template yet” for one of two reasons: the utility is not Greenville Water, or the assembly is a detector type that Greenville’s form has no columns for.
